Suggest Treatment For Hanging Skin At The Chin

I have a large mass of skin that hangs down back of my chin area. My brother and sister and I inherited it from my fathers side of the family. It s does not cause a problem except embarrasement. One of my daughters is starting to get it also. Any ideas appreciated. Gordon Guderjan

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

Since it is of genetic nature so nothing much can be done except good exercise of affected muscle so that the tone increases and it will give some good appearance. In extreme cases it might be a lesion of cutis laxa are which again has no treatment.

Hope it helps. If you have any other question please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,
Dr. Atishay Bukharia
