Suggest Treatment For Hard Dry Stools

I am a 21-year-old with chronic constipation for three years now. I don t have a problem going to the bathroom everyday, but my stools are often hard and dry. This has caused me to develop a painful hemorrhoid. I ve been treating my hard stools with prune juice every night, but once I stop drinking it, it comes back. I would like to know what the underlying issue is for my ongoing and chronic constipation. Thank you so much.

Hello,

You may be suffering from hard stools it may be due to low fiber diet or sedentary lifestyle or decreased bowel movements etc.

Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use Benefiber or Metamucil fiber for the bulk formation of stools.

Eat green leafy vegetables and fruits. Drink plenty of water and regular exercise.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
