Suggest Treatment For Hard Lump In Elbow Post Antibiotic Therapy For Cellulitis
My 4 year old grandson had cellulits on his elbow and was treated with an antibioic. A week after he finished his antiobiotics, the area had a hard lump and was reddened. the pedicatrician took off the top and squeezed out quite a lot of dark colored drainage. Now it s been another week and there is a dark lump at the site and when you push on the site you can see a dark line that move and pokes out over an inch away from the bump. It is tender to him and he is very guarded when you touch it

It sounds as though he's developed an abscess at that site and he needs to see the doctor again since it needs to be lanced and drained to remove the pus inside. He may also need another round of antibiotics for it
