Suggest Treatment For Hard Lump On Shin After An Injury
My brother was jumping over a fence eleven days ago and hit the top of the fence with his shin. It was a hard impact and when he discovered there was a bump he put ice on it. It looked as if he was hit in the leg with a softball. That was the size of the bump. It was white. Since then, he has iced and put heat and recently been soaking in epsom salts. He elevates it when he can. The bump is still there, but has gone down in size somewhat and is now black and blue and his leg is stiff when he tries to walk on the leg. Is this all a normal healing process for a hard impact to the shin?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. He has history of trauma and injury. He may have hematoma formation due to extravasation of blood. He should take analgesic plus anti inflammtory drugs like ibuprofen. It will help to relieve pain and swelling. Chymoral forte is also useful. Don't worry much about that. It is normal healing process. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
