Suggest Treatment For Hard, Red, Bump On Right Buttock

My husband has a hard, red, bump on his right buttock close to his crack. It is really large in size (several inches and very hard) it is painful as well. I cannot get hin to see a doctor as he is embarrassed. He has trouble sitting down. He had a skin infection on his finger a couple weeks ago which was inflammed and sore. He saw a doctor and it went away with antibotics. I m concerned they are connected and he may have an infection of some kind. Should we be worried or is it a big boil that needs to run its course? It does bleed when he bothers it.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

I can understand your concern for the hard, red, bump on right buttock in your case. After analyzing your query with diligence I can make out a possibility of folliculitis in your case.

In such kind of cases I generally prescribe an antibiotic containing cefadroxyl or cefxime along with pain killer tablets. I suggest you to meet a doctor at the earliest.
All the best.
