Suggest Treatment For Hard, Red Lumps On Calves

My son gets these hard, hot, red lumps on his calves. He has had about four episodes of this and his cultures come out negative. The last one that occurred was cleared up with Bacitrin (?) antibiotic and a nose swab. What do you think is the cause of these infections and what is the bacteria? Since this keeps reoccurring, is this a blood infection?

Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that your son is having multiple abcess. These may be due to decreased immunity. Bacteria can be determined by culture and sensitivity of pus. It may or may not be blood born. It reoccure because his immunity is very low. You should get his blood sugar fasting also cheched to rule out diabetes. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to help you.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
