Suggest Treatment For Hard Skin In Case Of Whitlow On Finger

I have whitlow on my ring finger 1 blister popped and is now stabbing, but very hard and leathery. Additional blister pushing beside scabbing area. Will the hard skin eventually heal and will this ever get better? No more infection, but healing is taking a long time

Hi

Whitlow or herpetic infection tends to take sometime to heal .
Even after the infection has healed , there can be some residual scarring .
It is the normal healing process on the body which tend to slowly re model the skin at the site of infection and slowly result in scarring .
So it might take some three to four weeks for the skin to soften and form a proper scar at the site.
