Hello. My father was admitted last night to the ER with BP 200/120, headache and bradycardia. Diagnostics seem to only show enlarged heart, no arrhythmias or ST elevations. We question renal damage post lithotripsy... or even over active adrenal gland? Any suggestions?? Anything would help
your history is inadequate to guide your perfectly.what was exact heart rate?and what did ECG show ,was it sinus bradycardia or otherwise? your querry for such accelerated hypertension due to adrenal or renal cause may be evaluated by ultrasound of upper abdomen.but if he had accelerated hypertension with headache and bradycardia one must rule out hypertensive Intracerebral bleed.
