Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

Regarding your concern, your symptoms could be related to abulia (an eating disorder) or any intracranial lesion (a tumor or inflammation, leading to raised intracranial pressure).

I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam, some blood lab tests (complete blood count, thyroid hormone levels, fasting glucose, PCR, sedimentation rate) and a brain CT scan to exclude possible secondary causes of your symptoms.

If all the above tests result normal, you should consult with a psychiatrist. An antidepressant like sertraline or paroxetine could be really helpful for headaches and eating disorder.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Best wishes,
Dr. Aida
