Suggest Treatment For Headache And Sinus Pain

I am having headaches and sinus aches every since I washed a piece of wooden furniture I had purchase that was very dirty, with a little Comet cleanser in water, then I think I rinsed it and went over it with olive oil and vinegar. It made a perfumy smell. After a couple days I took it out to the garage because of the perfummy smell.Still having headaches and sinus aches. What did I create? What should I do?Did it really do harm to me?Is my house contaminated? What is going on! I hope you know chemistry.

Hi,

I m not a chemist, but according to the history you have provided. I can make out that you have probably made chlorine gas out of the combination.

Chlorine gas is irritant to eyes nose lungs, which is presenting as symptoms, what you mentioned. I would be suggesting you do the following things:

1. Keep the furniture out of your house, to cut down the exposure.
2. Clean the area of the house with water and well ventilate the area.
3. Better to check your oxygen saturation , respiratory system for breath sounds, serum electrolyte imbalance to look for any sign of toxicity.

As there is no antidote, just supportive treatment is available.
