Suggest Treatment For Headache, Swollen Tongue And Neck Pain
I have a pretty bad headache - started last night around 3:00 AM, and it s been bad since. I ve been taking Tylenol for it - and that seems to bring it to a dull thud, but it s still a headache. I m thirsty - constantly thirsty since this morning early - and I think my tongue my have swollen some - but it seems to be better now. Neck is sore, but I think that s from the headache. I do suffer from cluster headaches but this seems to be different. Any thoughts?
You've not really provided enough information to diagnose the specific type of a headache but I wouldn't be surprised if you had a mixture of tension-type, Migraine type (these 2 together are very common), and possibly medication overuse headache (MOH) since it sounds like you could be taking more analgesic for headaches than you should. I will give you this piece of advice if you truly suffer from cluster headaches.
They are a very active and dynamic group when it comes to supporting and educating both doctors and patients on what exactly cluster headaches are and what the best approaches to treating them are currently. I recently returned from the Scottsdale, AZ AHS headache symposium and met some members from clusterbusters....I'm duly impressed by them.
First and foremost you will want to verify that cluster headache is a true type of headache you suffer with otherwise, you may right there be traveling down an erroneous path preventing you from getting optimal relief of your headache condition.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
