Suggest Treatment For Headache

I have been experiencing a dull ache on the left side of my head (toward the back of the head) for a little over a week now. It comes and goes. It doesn t really hurt...it just feels like pressure and every once in a while I feel a little throbing. What could this be? It s more annoying than anything and my head just feels wierd.

Hello,

Headache on one side of the head is commonly caused by neurological conditions like Occipital Neuralgia. Get clinicaly examined by a GP. Stress, tension, cluster headache and migraine are other causes of one sided headache.

You are suggested to stay in fresh air and visit hill stations so that you can breathe more oxygen. Medicines that you can take for relieve are aspirin and ibuprofen or acetaminophen, one SOS when required.

Avoid food that trigger headaches, like oily spicy food, caffeine, alcohol, and cheese. Never take food untimely. Take food in the right time in right proportion. To avoid headache avoid stress, anxiety and tension. Take regular showers, apply a warm or cool compress to your head and/or neck.

Stay well hydrated, dehydration triggers headache. Avoid exposure in sunlight, stay in dim light. Other factors that may trigger headache are low BP or low blood glucose levels. Maintain your vitals to normal at all cost.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
