Hey I've had bad toothache along my right side, headaches that last for days and feels like there is a lot of pressure along the right side of my face. It gets to the point were my eye feels like it's going to burst. I've felt like this for around 2 weeks now. Any suggestions?
Based on the symptoms it looks to me like you have right facial pain. Facial pain can be due to anything from an infection to nerve damage in the face. Common causes for facial pain include: dental problems, oral infections, abscess, nerve injury on the face, migraine, headache, herpes, sinus infection and eye problems.
You need to see a dentist to rule out dental infections and oral ulcers which is the likely cause of your facial pain. You need to see a headache specialist or a neurologist if dental problems are not the cause of your facial pain. Facial pain can also be due to serious problems.
So call your doctor for a detailed evaluation. Wish you good health.
Sincerely,
Dr Shiva Kumar R. Consultant Neurologist & Epileptologist Bangalore, India
