I have been under a lot of stress for the past 4 months. Lately, I have been getting headaches (temples), thought I was going to lose my balance (while standing) and my hands have been shaking and have been forgetting a lot. I am 55 yo female. Can you help? Thank you

Hello!

I read your question carefully and understand your concern!

I think that your symptoms are caused by chronic psychological stress. It seems to be a tension type headache associated with difficulty in concentration ( causing your troubles with memory) and anxiety ( the shaking hands).

There is nothing you should worry about. Just relax!

I would recommend you to have more physical activity. Yoga would be very helpful. I would also advise you to avoid caffeine and follow a healthy diet.

If this doesn't help, an antidepressant like a SSRI-inhibitor would be the drug of choice to help you with your headache and your anxiety.

Hope to have been helpful!

Greetings! Dr. Aida
