Suggest Treatment For Heart Stroke

Hi, my friend just had a mild stroke ,so says the Dr.. The Dr. says it was caused by a blood clot. The next day after other tests he says there was a clot found behind her heart. I thought clots traveled through out our body in veins. Or is he talking about a vein around the heart. I don t want to upset my friend with questions to ask the Dr., But she is already upset because he not giving her any answer or reasons. How can I guide her?

Hi,

You shouldn't worry, just encourage your friend. The doctor will prescribe medication for blood clots. If your friend takes the medication regularly and follows healthy lifestyle, everything will be OK. In mild strokes the most important goal is to prevent further strokes, which is done with blood thinners and lifestyle changes.

Hope I could help you

Wishing a good health to your friend
