Hi, I recently had my gall bladder removed cause of gall stones. Since then I have been having this burning sensation in my throat 24/7. Its really depressing and irritating. It gets worse after eating . I have tried doctor prescribed PPIs. But nothing seems to be working. Please could you advise me here.
Dear you may be suffering from post cholecystectomy syndrome(PCS).pain and dyspepsia common in patients with this syndrome. PCS is common in patients with pancreatic and gastrointestinal disorder or have extra intestinal disease.treatment may depends on specific cause for it. first we have treat it. and repeat ultrasound/CT abdomen/MRCP to look repeated stone or bile duct leak or structure.
please consult your gastroenterologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
