Suggest Treatment For Heartburn In The Upper Abdominal Area

I have frequent heartburn in my upper stomach area. It is not intense but fairly frequent. It always comes in the early morning. Yesterday I had a bowel movement and I noticed the toilet was filled with blood. What do you think is going on. I have had a little blood but never like this.

Hello,

The given symptoms could be due to hyperacidity but the bloodstain stool could be a matter of investigation, most of the time it is due to diet took and it may not be the blood in stool so no need to worry about this until it is being proved blood-stained stool, and for that you will have to send the stool for lab test.

Now for the heartburn, I actually suggest tablet Rabeprazole once in a day to all my patient those comes with such complaint, try to avoid the heavy meal, spicy food, coffee, alcohol, smoking prior to bed, low down the stress.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
