I have been to an OB/GYN and my pap came back normal, but for the last six months have been having very abnormal periods. I have heavy spotting between periods and pass large blood clots during my period along with extreme heavy bleeding. Should I be concerned since my pap came back normal?

Hi, I understand your concern. It's good that your PAP test came normal. But profuse bleeding can be from various causes like- vaginal polyp, fibroid uterus, hormonal imbalance, endometriosis, ovarian cyst etc. An array of investigations like blood work, USG lower abdomen, Hormonal assay,Some times histopathology of uterine curetings after a through internal examination by a gynecologist . A specific treatment after pin pointing the reason would help you to get rid of your problem. Thanks.
