Suggest Treatment For Heavy Vaginal Discharge Despite Taking Antibiotics

I have gone to the gynecologist four times, and they have always prescribed me antibiotics that did not work. The first time I went they gave me Diflucan, the second time they gave me three prescriptions for Diflucan, the third time they have me a one week worth of antiobiotics, to take two a day, and another three diflucan and the fourth visit was two weeks worth of antibiotics and still nothing worked. It is like i am immune to antibiotics. I wasted hundreds of dollars to receive no change. I took it upon myself to get monistat, no change, one month of probiotics , no change and boric acid suppositories, NO CHANGE. I am so frustrated and depressed, my discharge is so heavy and chunky any solutions?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

According to your description you have already taken all general measures to treat the white discharge. So, the possible measures that can help you are:
-Taking swab from vaginal discharge and sending that for cultural sensitivity this will help in finding out the possible causative organism of the white discharge and treatment can be taken according to the report. -Both wife and husband should be treated simultaneously to prevent cross infections.
-To rule out sensitivity to the seminal fluid, contraceptives, inner wear or personal hygiene products, etc., which can also lead to continuous white discharge.
-Using genital wash like Clingen wash, Vygene wash regularly to decrease physiological white discharge and to prevent pathological white discharge to some extent. Avoid using regular soaps to clean genital area.
-Prefer cotton inner wear as much as possible, wash with water containing little Dettol solution and avoid watching your clothes along with others. With these measures hopefully you may get some relief.

Hope I have answered your query and I will be happy to answer any further follow-up queries.

Take care.
