Hi I had surgery to remove breast tissue from under my arm in the pit. Now i have a large hematoma. My arm skin is numb with pain. How long till it goes away. 8cm long 2cm high. Im so over it. Extremely uncomfortable. One week now. Bruising is gone. Hematoma is hard and in ultrasound only had 20mls of fluid.
Hi. As per your case history of hematoma, my treatment advice is - 1. Apply ice on the lesions twice daily. 2. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling. 3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it to prevent infection. 4. Only curative treatment is excision under local anesthesia done by a dermato-surgeon.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
