Suggest Treatment For Hepatitis C With Weight Loss And Bruised Legs

my husband was diagnosed wiyh hepatitis c about 8 years ago. He was offered tratment when he had no symptons but could never start it because he drinks. Nowadays he continues to lose weight and his legs are bruised like up to his knees. What does that indicate please? He doesn t like to talk about it because he continues to drink and doesn t want to face it. Many thanks.

HCV is a common cause of chronic liver disease. However, not all patients infected with HCV will necessarily develop chronic hepatitis.

it seems your husband has developed chronic liver disease.
your strongly recommended to visit treating physician and/or hepatologist at earliest for further course of action.

HCV maybe treated now with oral medication.
