Suggest Treatment For High BP After A Triple By Pass Surgery

I am 62 and have had triple by pass surgery, I am on different medications. My blood pressure was way out of wack a few days ago and I have had a headache the last few nights. blood pressure was 169/105 I can't get in to see my doctor until Thursday. Any suggestions? Am I ok until then?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

IT would be best not to adjust the medications without first consulting your doctor.
IF this is not possible prior to the visit, you can try to reduce your salt intake further, rest, use only enough fluids (excess fluid intake can affect blood pressure).

If you feel too unwell or unsure to wait till to the appointment time then you can either try to visit your doctor earlier or go to the ER.

I hope this helps
