HI!Dr.I am 65 yrs residing in Uganda. I take daily pressure; s-amlosafe 2.5. When I have a cough my pressure reading increases to; bettween 180-160 and 110-85. Otherwise I am normaly 145-135 and 80-65
I am worried about side effects. Can I reduce and take one tab every other day when I am not coughing??

No you can't do that, Blood pressure medications has to be taken regularly and daily . It is common for the blood pressure to raise when you cough but that rise is transient so your BP medications has to be adjusted to the Blood pressure you have when you are not coughing .
As of your cough consult a doctor and get it treated .
