Suggest Treatment For High BP Despite Taking Lisinopril

I am a 31 year old female that has somewhat good health. About 2 years ago I started with a really bad headache that would not go away that sent me to the er a couple times. It was discovered I had high blood pressure, sometimes as high as 170/120. It was also discovered that I had protein in my urine and after a 24 hour urine test it came back 5x the amount it should have been. I was sent to a nephrologist who did blood work and a kidney biopsy who has diagnosed me with FSGS. About a month after this diagnosis I got pneumonia and was hospitalized because my O2 dropped to 84 while I was walking. Every since this, I get really short of breath, my lips will turn blue and I will feel like I am going to pass out. I have had 2 D Dimer test done. The first was .94 and the 2nd was 1.91. They ruled out PE. I have CRP done 2x. The first was 13.4 and the 2nd 21.8. They have yet to find out why. I have been to a pulmonologist who did PFT and says everything is normal. I have seen infectious disease, cardiology, my nephrologist, hematology/oncology and the only thing that anybody can find is that my hear rate was high. It got into 180 s without me even knowing it when I was wearing the heart monitor. I take my birth control pills, 100mg Zoloft, 40mg lisinopril, 20mg Prilosec, and 75mg toporol XL daily. I still have a little bit of trouble with my BP and heart rate on occasion and none of the other symptoms have got better. There is no common factor that makes them happen. I can be sitting at my desk or walking. Any recommendations or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hello,

This drug is not sufficient to bring your BP down find the cause. Firstly stop your birth control tablets & use alternative methods of birth control . Get a CT Renal angiography done, Beta blocker may have to be changed . Get an Echocardiography done to rule out pulmonary hypertension. Get in touch with me if problem still persists.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
