Welcome to healthcaremagic, Your Body Mass Index is 28.3, and it comes under overweight or preobese category. In order to control your blood presurre you need to do the following things 1. Regular exercise such as brisk walking for atleast 30 minutes per day 2. Consume a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and low fat dairy products. 3. Reduce salt intake to less than 5 grams per day (1 teaspoon is approximately 5 grams) Normal blood pressure for your age is less than 140 over 90. Get your blood pressure checked at the next opportunity and if it is more than the normal range you need to start taking your medication regularly. Hope that answers you question. Regards, Dr.Ismail
