sir i m diabectic, i m taking istamet 50/500mg. i walk 45 minuts daily after this course i take my tablet after food. today i did check my sugar it was 170 in fasting i take this tablet twice a day. why sugar level has not come down. before this medicin was recomended i had the same level of 170

to know the full response it takes nearly 4-6 weeks for any medicine of this group. if this much time has elapsed then a change can be considered. if only fasting is high then increase metformin or add basal insulin.
