Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
The point remains that you need to take medicines for your sugars. Most doctors start treatment of sugars with an extended release form of
metformin tablet. we prefer to start in low doses like 500 mg once a day and then step up gradually.
Also watching your sugars would be a good idea. To this extent, I would suggest that you get yourself a glucometer and keep a watch on sugars prior to meals (before breakfast/lunch/dinner). You need not check it thrice a day, or even daily. Once in 2-3 days may suffice.
Also, watch your diet. Diabetic low calory diet and physical exercise are usual adjuants to treatment. You should try both to a level you are comfortable with.
Let us know the sugar monitoring soon.
I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.
