Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Classification of Blood Pressure (BP):

- Systolic BP (mmHg)

- Diastolic BP (mmHg)

Normal  Prehypertension   120-139 80-89

Stage 1 hypertension     140-159  90-99

Stage 2 hypertension     ≥160     ≥100

Right now you are stage 2 hypertensive. Our target is to achieve a blood pressure of 140/90. You should start with amlodipine and nitrate they will be safe for you, clonidine can also be added.

- Try to exercise 45 minutes a day
- Drink plenty of water
- Eat less fatty food
- antihtn suitable for you
- calcium channel blockers
- nitates alpha agonists

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rini
