Suggest Treatment For High Systolic Blood Pressure And Low Diastolic Pressure
I am 73 yrs old I have a high systolic blood pressure and a low diastolic pressure. I exercise 3 times a week have a part time job not over weight, dont smoke or drink hardly sit down, what can I do to reverse this and are my days numbered.Thank you
A high systolic BP is pathological and needs treatment with BP-lowering drugs, so as to maintain it below 140. A low diastolic reading means that the left heart pumps most of the blood into the body circulation. There is nothing to worry about the diastolic reading.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me and will prescribe the advised drugs in appropriate doses.
