Suggest Treatment For Hives On The Ankles While Suffering From Sore Throat

Hi. My son had sore throat for a day or two, then went away and developed a high fever. The fever has been on and off for two days but today he developed what we thought were hives around his ankles but now he has spot moving up his leg, on his side and down his arms. Not sure what he has. Please advise.

Hello welcome to the health care magic

It seems to be generalised viral infection secondary to upper respiratory tract infection

You have not mentioned age of patient.

Levocetrizine 5 mg like decongestant drug can be prescribed for him.

Investigate with CBC and respiratory tract examination esp Auscultation needs to be done

Take care

Hope this will help you

Consult otorhinolaryngologist or physician for examination
