Suggest Treatment For Hole In Ear

hi gud afternoon doctor this is Reshma here. I m 25 yrs old. I just wanted to ask you that I m having hole in my right ear since 2 years after taking precautions the hole is not packed. Is there is is any possibility to pack hole without doing opertion. and suppose if i done operation then can i listen properly. or will suffer some problem after certain age?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain in case if you have a hole in ear that has not resolved in 2 years will probably not recover on its own and there does not seems possibility that there will be recovery with medications too.
As it takes about 3 months duration in which the eardrum heals completely and in case if it has not healed you will have to go for surgical patching..
Tympanoplasty or surgical repairing of the eardrum is the left out option and it can improve your hearing as well as you may also need hearing aids to be placed in ear for an improved hearing..
So I would suggest you to consult an ENT surgeon and get an Otoscopic examination done and he can patch a small piece of your tissue to repair your ear drum..
You should also avoid swimming or diving while healing is in progress and also you should keep away from loud sounds and picking the ear..
