Suggest Treatment For Hyper Pigmentation On Vaginal Area
I went to my Gynecologist today and was told that I have some pigmentation on the inside of my vagina. He said that it is some dark colored lesions and wants to do an biopsy. I am terrified of this and I know when I had a pap done in May the lesions were not there but now they are. I am afraid of what these lesions may be. What are the chance of these lesions being cancerous? How long does it take the results to come back from the biopsy?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Pigmented lesions in and around vagina can be precancerous condition ( hypermelanosis) . It can be diagnosed by biopsy. The biopsy result usually come in one week.
I would suggest you to wait for the results, and do not take stress.
