Suggest Treatment For Hyperbilirubinemia In Newborn Baby

My daughter is 10 days old. on 3rd day docs said she has hyperbilirubinemia and on blood test found it to be 17. She was put under photo therapy for a day and on review found the numbers to decrease to 14 and recommended another 24 hrs of photo therapy and after that the count came down to 9 on which she was discharged with review date provided as today. We went to the doc today and he said that on clinical test the count could be 11 and recommended to take Gardenal 30mg. On a second opinion with family pediatric at my native, she recommended not to have those kind of medicines for Neonatal baby for 15-20 days unless the count is more than 17. I am confused and want few more recommendations as to what is the best approach there. Note: The mother is O+ and baby is B+. She was born on 3rd July with a birth weight of 2.88kg. Regards Arun
