Suggest Treatment For Hypertension And Extreme Migraines

I m 22years old and have hypertension.. Along with extreme migraines so the dr. Put me on propranolol 40mgx3.. Before they put me on the RX my BP was 140/100. I take my BP regularly and usually it s around 115/70. The last couple days I have had my migraines and generally my BP goes up so I took it today and it was 76/50, I m wondering if that s getting too low?

Hello
Propranolol 40 mg , you are taking and your blood pressure is 76/50 mm of Hg . This is dangerously low , may develop headache ( migraine ), dizziness .
But according to your age ( just 22 years ) 140/100 mm of Hg ( BP) may be due to tension , anxiety or excitement .
When such patient visit my clinic I take reading of blood pressure for 3 -4 consecutive days to find out whether high blood pressure is due to any disease or due to anxiety ( tension ) in this age.
If BP found high, I advise my patient to get in lipid profile and ECHO .
If there is any pathological reason of blood pressure , consult a cardiologist and get his opinion.
If no pathological reason then consult another physician and get his opinion ( 2nd ).
Hope this will help you.
