I read your question and I understand your concern.
High blood pressure is a very common problem especially as the years go by. Just to create an idea it is present in 50% of people over 60 years old. In 90-95% of the cases it is essential (idiopathic) hypertension, meaning no cause can be identified, so don't expect by all means for a cause to be found.
However it is necessary to identify or exclude that 5-10% of patients where there is an identifiable cause,
secondary hypertension, most often in those with
kidney conditions,
hormonal alterations, abnormalities of
aorta or other causes. For that reason it is necessary to be evaluated for these causes. Of course the younger you are, the more suspicious high blood pressure is secondary and more thorough tests need to be conducted to find a cause.
Anyway whether essential or secondary, untreated high blood pressure is harmful and you need to start treatment. So you need to see your doctor and be evaluated for the cause and to start the treatment whether the cause is found or not.
I hope everything works out for the best.
