Suggest Treatment For Hypertension

Had stress test 7 days ago. Dr suspects hypertension It has felt like someone sitting on my chest for a week Bad headache Major anxiety Now it feels like someone is cutting off the circulation in my arms Bp was 172/97 162/91 151/89 Over 3 hours I know it was higher earlier in the day But that was when it had felt like it had gone down and I got myself to a pharmacy to check it When should I go to hospital or clinic I m waiting for a bp monitor haven t got the call yet

Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your BP is high and enough for diagnosis of hypertension. It is usual to have a heaviness on heart when BP is high. Antihypertensive medication should be started. In such case if you were my patient then i would prefer to start with ACE inhibitor or Angiotensin receptor blocker which also will have a protective action on heart and kidney. It is good to monitor BP morning and evening.
