Suggest Treatment For Hypopituitarism And Growth Hormone Deficiency
I was diagnosed with hypopituitarism including central insipidus diabetes, growth hormone deficiency, low testosterone , septo optic dysplasia.and legal blindness and also delayed puberty. My pituitary gland with mri showed to be very tiny. I dont know if this is a related issue or not but I've always had a very poor sense of smell, some things i cant smell at all some i cant distinguish, so my question is is this related to the pituitary condition or is it something else, in either case what could it be.
Hi You have anosmia, which is inability to smell. It has a definite link with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (low testosterone due to pituitary cause), usually in condition known as Kallman's Syndrome. Association of Septo-optic Dysplasia with anosmia is very rare but reported in literature. Hope it helps....
