Hello there,
Thyroid is a gland present in the neck which produces the hormones T3 and T4. There is another organ in the head which control the function of thyroid, its called pituitary gland. It control thyroid function by producing hormone called TSH. When thyroid doesnt function properly TSH goes up. In your care it went up marginaly. Now what I do not know here is your age, your gender. Usually these days because of use of iodinated salt most of the thyroid problem is due to autoimmune problems. So medicines need to be taken for life usually. I would suggest to get a TPO antibody test which can tell us if your thyroid problem is autoimmune. If positive then you need to be on treatment for life. Thyronorm is a very safe medicine and taken early in the morning empty stomach regularly will fairly keep your thyroid in control. Do check TSH levels regularly. IF there is any fluctuation in TSH then doses may be changes accordingly.
Take care.
