My daughter has been diagnosed as slightly hypothyroid. ( She turned 18 in July). She has a lot of problems with leg pain. Although she has been on NP THyroid now for over 6 weeks, still no leg pain improvement. We have been wondering if maybe she is pre-diabetic as well as hypothyroid. How would we have that tested?
Hi,Thanks for consulting at HCM. Rest assure her problem is treatable. Leg pain can be due to hypothyroidism, associated bone disease, anaemia, decrease potassium, pregnancy among other causes. It is too early for the hypothyroid associated muscle disease to reverse if it was present. Please seek endocrinologist for clinical evaluation for these conditions Hope it satisfies you.Get well soon. Never forget to rate the answer please. Looking forward to see you again at HCM.
