I was diagnosed hypothyroid when I was 12. At 28 I have been having severe weight issues (overweight) and have started having a tightness in my neck. I feel a pressure in my throat and have the stereotypical low voice. I am on 90mg armour thyroid once a day which brings my lab work to normal ranges. What can I do to counteract these issues without going hyperthyroid?
HI dear the thyroid treatment is lasts long atleast for 6 months with regular follow ups. You have to continuesly take levothyroxine for 6-8 weeks for any results then your doctor will lower the dose based on TSH report and your symptoms. You will not go into hyperthyroid as its a usual dose. So please be relax and take the prescribed medication. Hope this will help you. Thanks and Regard Dr.Sohil
