Suggest Treatment For Induced Vomiting After Eating Food
my college student daughter told me she had a problem and finally said, "I eat... I feel guilty,,, I throw it back up... About once a day... Sometimes more... for the last 3ish weeks... Before that just wouldn't eat for a day or two." Where do we look for help and advice?
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.
I understand that you are worried about your daughter's eating problems and induced vomiting. From the description of her symptoms, it appears that she may be suffering from an eating disorder, probably bulimia nervosa.
So, the first thing that I would advise you to do is to take her to a good psychiatrist for a proper evaluation. It is important that you seek professional help as early as possible without delaying, because early intervention has a better outcome. There are effective treatment options available - in the form of psychological therapies like CBT as well as medication which can help control such eating disorders. So, please get her professional help promptly.
Wish you all the best.
