Suggest Treatment For Infected Boil On Breast

I ve had a boil on my breast for about a month or more I ve tried to squeeze it and only get blood or a little bit of blood with pus. I ve had one lanced and packed before. I know I ve probably got it infected now because I used fingernail clippers to try and open it up to get the rest to come out. I have a older prescription of Cipro and was wondering if that would help or should I go ahead to the dr? I can t afford to pay for an answer I m on disability.

Thanks for the query.
You might have developed furuncles.
These are deep bacterial infections.
Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. By the history provided it seems the condition is recurrent furrunculosis. If I were the treating physician first and foremost I would get the following investigations done to try to fund out the reason for recurrence.
1. Blood sugar- fasting and post prandial.
2. Pus for culture sensitivity. To determine the antibiotic to be administered.
I wouldn't recommend usage of cipro again without doctor's prescription. Kindly visit your doctor for a consultation. I am here for any further queries. Thank you.
