Hello, I had a small pimple on the right side of my penis last week. I tried popping it many times and believe I may have squeezed much to hard. I now have a hard line running from the mid point of my penis all the way down to the bottom. My right lymph node is also a little bit sore. I have been with the same person for 4 years so I know it isn t an STD. It was a little red at first but that has gone away. Now its just more of a hard line. Can you tell me what it is/how I can fix it? Thank you.
I can understand your concern for infected pimple on penis. I can make out the possibility of infection of the hair root by bacterial invasion known as folliculitis.
It is quite common to find such kind of thing at genital area due to moistness and humidity with high bacterial proliferation.
I advise you to not to pinch, pop or scratch the area. Do not attempt any home remedies as can leas to further aggravation of the problems.
In your kind of cases I prefer to give a course of oral antibiotics such as cefixime or amoxicillin or ciprofloxacin. For the pain sensation if any I suggest my patients to take paracetamol or diclofenac for once or twice daily.
