Swelling in the vagina and
vulva due to inflammation of vagina, cause is bacteria, and yeast infection or due to imbalance in vaginal bacteria, some times low
estrogen may be the cause asking
menopause, if vulva and vagina both are swollen, the condition is vulvovaginitis. There is unusual
vaginal discharge, itching, irritation, pain during sex, pain while peeing, light bleeding or spotting.
If these symptoms last for more than a couple of days, visit a gynecologist so they find out the cause and fingers out a plan for you. Like there can be allergies to understand, creams, condom, perfumes, detergents, douches. Thus, avoid them, apply
Cortisone cream to reduce the symptoms, warm and
cold water apply frequently. It can be due to sexually due to increase blood flow to that area. Causing it to swell and becomes puffy, and may enlarge.
Cold compression is best, apply some lubricant to avoid friction, for
fungal infection you can add some local and systemic anti fungal cream, bacterial vaginitis can be there. Go for a swab test, keep good hygiene, don't use products which cause irritation, wear cotton underwear, your latex condom, and make a habit to wash the part after every time after urination, ally cold water.
