Suggest Treatment For Inflamed Joints In Stopping Diclofenac
I have taken diclofenac sodium which has dramatically helped my chronic knee pain. However. When I stopped it, I got what seemed to be a rebound effect. My whole body ached and felt inflamed especially my joints. I do have arthritis and have had knee surgery. I understand that NSAIDS are detrimental long term, thus the reason I stopped taking it. However, the rebound inflammation was horrendous. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Suggest Treatment For Inflamed Joints In Stopping Diclofenac
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic The NSAIDS do have an anti inflammatory effect and would reduce the pain and inflammation due to your arthritis. The pain that you feel when the medication is discontinued is more due to absence of medication that rebound effect. As you mentioned the persistent use is not recommended . You can alternate its use with other medication from different drug family. I hope this helps
