I have had an increased issue with ingrown hairs on my face. I have been plucking them and using a needle to get them out. Even hairs that are not ingrown seem irritated and if plucked are encapsulated in white/yellowish gel-like puss. My hairs seemed to be flat and ribbon shaped as opposed to round. Getting worse. Help
Hi. As per your case history you are having psedo-folliculitis. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't pluck hair as it may worsen the condition. 2. Don't use razor for shaving. Use a trimmer instead to avoid irritation. 3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it for healing.
With the above care the condition will heal in 2-3 weeks.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
