Hi I was diagosed with inner ear infection after a bout of sinisitus went to the er yesterday and I have received on top of all my meds Zofer 4 mg and seretonin as well as stugeron.... I have been extremely dizzy and have fallen myself silly and bumped into everything. The doctor also took bloods and said I am low on haemogoblin... and gave a script for iron tabs and movicol to not block my bowel as I have a rectocil that I am only seeing the gynae on the 2nd of oct. my chronic meds are ziak (blood Pressure) estrofem, cilift , and some stuff for acid reflux cant remember the name. My question is what does Zofer 4 mg do and the Serotonin Thank you Regards Sue
It has salt ondansetron which is 5 hydroxytryptophan antagonist. It is give to control nausea and vomiting.
Serotonin is a neurotransmitter present in multiple forms in the body and is carrying different forms including memory, mood/behaviour, food intake, vomiting control, cardiovascular effects, etc
