So I went camping by a body of water overnight. I expected ticks, mosquitoes, and spiders, and there were. But I came home and was washing the mud off my feet and legs and noticed that some small dried mud wouldn t come off. The area around the mud swelled up like large mosquitos bites. I know they re bites but can t identity them. The center looks like mud, or ink. Any guesses on what it could be?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history of insect bite my advice is –
1. Wear full sleeve clothes to avoid further such episodes. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
