Hello. I have a perforated eardrum due to an internal ear infection (This is the third day of draining). I understand that I will loose my hearing for a while. But the problem is it is very painful to lay down or sleep. I just finished my antibiotics (Azithromycin). I also finished my pain medication 2 days ago. Now I am just taking ibuprofen. It only helps very little. I can only catch like 2 hours duration of sleep throughout the whole night. What can I do to help with the pain? I just want to sleep for a couple of hours.
If I was your treating doctor I would prescribe 1.tab sinarest morning night 2.xylometazoline nasal drops three times a day 3.steam inhalation 4.syp.mucolite 5ml morning night 5.tab.lyser-d morning and night All for 5 days I would also suggest you to keep yours ears dry and keep a cotton soaked in Vaseline in the ear while taking bath .this will help you with your symptoms
