Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
From my brief research it seems I may have incomplete bowel issues. While defecating, I always seem to have some matter still up there. In order to get this matter out, I have to strain which makes me very light headed. Furthermore, the straining is giving me internal hemorrhoids. Should I make an appointment to see my primary care or should I visit a Gastroenterologist? Thank you
First you have to take primary treatment. Take more fibers foods. Eat fresh fruits and green vegetables. Avoid spicy foods and oily foods. Drink more water.
Stool softner may use in hemorrhoids to prevent excessive straing. Hydrocortisone ointment can use to reduce pain and bleeding. Analgesic ointment may use for relief. After taking this much care still symptoms are present than consent a gastoentrologist.
If severe painful hemorrhoids may treated by surgicaly.
Take care. Thanks.
